Garage Sales Australia
Sick of taping a sign to a pole that hardly anyone sees? So are we.
Let’s stop posting our gargage sales on signs that limit the number of people that will see them, contribute to rubbish and ultimately look pretty bad. We’re here to help! We’re opening our Garage Sale finder for free for a limited time so we can offer an easy way to track down hidden gems. Remember, one person’s trash is another’s treasure!
Our easy to use map give you access and directions to garage sales so you can plan your treasure hunt rather than come across it by chance. Just click on a map marker and you’ll be given a time and place of where that garage sale will be happening. If you’re looking to post your own garage sale, you can list all the goodies you’ll be offering and share your listing between your friends, on social media or wherever you like. Get a better audience at your next garage sale and sell more items!
Typically the items in garage sales are unwanted possessions from the home owner conducting the garage sale. The conditions of the items vary, but more often than not are in a useable state. Garage sales are typically for people “spring cleaning”, moving house or earning extra money. The venue at which the garage sales are conducted are normally the the place of residence; eg. a driveway, carport, front yard or inside a house.
Items you can expect at garage sales include old clothing, books, toys, household decorations, lawn and garden tools, sports equipment and board games. Larger items like furniture and occasionally home appliances are also sold. Garage sales occur most frequently in suburban areas on weekends with good weather conditions, and usually have designated hours for the sale. Buyers who arrive before the hours of the sale to review the items are known as “early birds” and are often professional restorers or resellers.
